Born and raised in Sweden he was educated at the university of Lund, Sweden. He has lectured widely at universities, conferences and public policiy institutes in the US, Europe , Asia and Australia. Since 1992 he was for five years also involved with the international school project and Russian ministry of education as speaker throughout Russia and Eastern Europe.

With his late wife Lisa he worked with Francis and Edith Schaeffer at Swiss L'Abri for five years before founding Swedish L'Abri in Mölle in 1981. With Lisa he has three children Lovisa, Gabriel and Rebecka. Currently he is still the director of Swedish L'Abri and also holds offices in the Swedish public life. He is a part time college teacher in the nearby city of Helsingborg while also heading the L'Abri workin Mölle.
